01The town

About Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is a historic university town set among vineyards and mountain ranges east of Cape Town. Its oak-lined streets, Cape Dutch architecture and strong academic identity sit alongside a modern centre for agriculture, wine, hospitality and enterprise.

It will be our base for the closing chapter, with the wider landscapes of Franschhoek and Paarl forming part of the Winelands context.

02Where we stay

Stellenbosch Accommodation

We’ll stay at The Devon Valley Hotel, a four-star retreat set on a working wine farm among the vineyards and mountains just outside Stellenbosch. It is an ideal base from which to experience the Winelands, with sweeping views, relaxed terraces and plenty of space to unwind. When the sun goes down, the Cedar Whisky Lounge offers one of the region’s most impressive whisky collections.

03

The Winelands Program

The Cape Winelands is one of those places where business and pleasure become unusually difficult to separate. Expect to meet the people behind some of Africa’s most distinctive businesses and explore the wine industry from the inside, with all the food, wine and hospitality that naturally comes with it.

One evening, we’ll come together for a traditional South African braai on the terrace at Devon Valley Hotel. Think of a braai as South Africa’s answer to a barbecue, only with more soul. We’ll shape the second evening around the group. This could mean fine dining at Rust en Vrede, a relaxed meal at The Fat Butcher, or an afternoon at the Lanzerac Spa followed by dinner.

04

The journey concludes

The Cambridge Executive MBA South Africa Trek 2027 concludes on 21 March 2027. The hotel can arrange transport to Cape Town International Airport. For those flying that evening, we’ll arrange luggage storage so there is still time to soak up the last of the sunshine and enjoy one final glass of wine before heading home.
